The Maxis Unified Control Center and Remote Control is microprocessor based and can be programmed to control a variety of power accessories. It is designed to provide a centralized control center for various RV power accessories such as slide-outs, stabilizers, landing gear, generators, electric awnings and other power accessories with the added benefit of allowing any power accessory to be controlled with a simple handheld Keychain Remote Control.
One way to understand the concept of the Maxis is to imagine that you can take any switch in your RV (landing gear, slide-out, electric awning, generator etc.), put it in your pocket and carry it around with you to use from any location you choose. The Maxis control panel lets you select which switch is currently in your pocket. You may have only one switch in your pocket at a time, but the number of switches is limited only by the Maxis control panel hardware (currently the hardware limit is seven physical devices.) Virtually any device that operates in a binary mode (on/off, up/down, in/out, bright/dim, start/stop etc.) can be controlled by the Maxis with the appropriate M-Point Control Module.

Here are some typical Maxis applications:

How many times have you found yourself having to deploy your RV's slide-outs in a tiny campsite? How many times have you been uncomfortable or nervous deploying your RV's slide-outs knowing they may be only inches away from some potentially damaging obstacle such as a power or water post, picnic table, gazebo or other campsite obstruction? Maybe you've even hit one of these obstructions with your RV's slide-outs and caused some damage to your RV?
Unfortunately, most RV manufacturers place the controls for slide-outs in the position most convenient for them. This isn't always the place most convenient for you. For example, the control switch for a living room slide-out is often placed inside the RV near the front door. Now consider this: How are you supposed to deploy the slide-out safely if you can't see what's happening outside?
The Maxis Remote Control gives you the ability to operate your slide-outs from a vantage point that gives you the most visibility and safety. This greatly reduces the possibility of doing harm to your RV and its surroundings.
With the Maxis Remote Control you no longer have to ask your spouse, child or a friend to stand guard outside your RV to insure that you don't run your slide-out into that much-too-close tree or picnic table. Your helper won't have to bang on the side of your RV to let you know that you're about to hit something and possibly damage your RV. Deploying your slide-outs with a Maxis Remote Control becomes a quick, easy and safe operation even when you're by yourself and have no one to help you.

With the Maxis Remote Control, you can extend or retract your 5th wheel trailer's landing gear to the perfect height for hitching up without ever leaving your tow vehicle. No more getting in and out of your tow vehicle to "eyeball" the kingpin and receiver alignment. Imagine being able to adjust your trailer's kingpin height as you back your tow vehicle towards the trailer. Just use the Maxis key chain transmitter to control your 5th wheel trailer's landing gear for a quick, easy, no guesswork hitch-up.
You can even use the Maxis Remote Control to extend or retract the landing gear from inside your 5th wheel, making fore/aft leveling of your RV easy.
With the Maxis Remote Control, you can raise and lower your electric stabilizers either from the Maxis Unified Control Center or from the handheld Keychain Remote Control. Whichever you find more convenient.
You can operate your electric awning(s) from the Maxis Unified Control Center while inside your RV or if you're concerned about clearance between your awning and a nearby tree or other obstacle you can step outside the RV and operate the electric awning via the handheld Keychain Remote Control while keeping an eye on the awning as it deploys.
The Maxis Remote Control gives you the ability to operate your electric awning(s) from a vantage point that gives you the most visibility and safety. This greatly reduces the possibility of doing harm to your RV and its surroundings.

You can use the Maxis Remote Control to turn your RV's running lights On and Off. Imagine returning to your campsite some dark night after a long day of sight-seeing and being able to turn your running lights, scare lights or porch light On from the handheld Keychain Remote Control as you rive up to your RV. Use the Maxis Remote Control to illuminate your campsite so you don't have to fumble around in the dark for your door key.
The Maxis can even make your running lights flash. Flashing your running lights is the universal "send help" signal for RV'ers just as it is for home owners. If you are having a medical emergency or need help, flashing your running lights can help guide EMS or Police to your RV in a dark campground.

Like your slide-outs, your electric porch may be damaged by deploying it into a campground obstacle. The Maxis Remote Control gives you the ability to operate your electric porch from a vantage point that gives you the most visibility and safety. This greatly reduces the possibility of doing harm to the electric porch and its surroundings.
The Maxis Remote Control can start and stop your on-board generator either from the Maxis control panel or the handheld Keychain Remote Control. You could start your generator from the front seat of your tow vehicle an hour before you arrive at your campsite to pre-cool the RV.
The Maxis Remote Control can be used to activate or deactivate your RV's security system. Maxis employs a sophisticated "Rolling Code" security system to insure that only your keychain transmitter(s) can operate your Maxis receiver. Maxis will operate only when it receives commands from a keychain transmitter it has "learned." This prevents anyone else from operating your Maxis Remote Control even in a crowded RV park with other Maxis owners nearby.
The Maxis Remote Control can be used to raise and lower a Person Lift. These lifts make RV'ing possible for many physically challenged people. Typically, a person lift is controlled by a switch pendant dangling from the person lift which the physically challenged person must reach for. With the Maxis, the physically challenged person can carry a keychain transmitter in their pocket which makes operating the person lift easier than reaching for the switch pendant.
